Leadership Transition at Silver Mines Limited

Silver Mines Limited (ASX: SVL) has announced significant changes in its leadership. Following a meticulous succession process, Mr. Jonathan Battershill, currently a non-executive director, is set to become the Managing Director of Silver Mines effective January 1, 2024. This transition comes after the current Managing Director, Mr. Anthony McClure, expressed his intention to retire at the end of 2023. McClure had played a pivotal role in the Company's journey from a small-cap explorer to a potential mid-tier miner, overseeing exploration, resource development, feasibility studies, environmental and social impact studies, and obtaining mining approval. He will continue as a consultant during the transition.

Silver Mines Chairman Keith Perrett thanked McClure for his contributions and welcomed Battershill, highlighting his extensive experience in mining and finance. Battershill's career spans over 25 years, including roles at WMC Resources Limited, Citigroup, UBS, and Canaccord, making him a valuable addition to the leadership team. The company looks forward to a successful transition under his leadership as it progresses toward mine construction and production.
