Kaiser Reef Limited (ASX: KAU) announced a breakthrough at the high-grade A1 Gold Mine. After 30 years of focusing on extracting remnant ore, it has reached the Nova Zone at the extremities of the historic mining. This marks a pivotal moment for Kaiser, signifying a new era in its operations. The A1 Gold Mine, in operation since 1861, has historically been a powerhouse, producing approximately 800 ounces of gold per vertical meter, with some exceeding 1,000 ounces per vertical meter. However, most ore were exploited in the first 100 years of mining. Significant capital expenditure of over AU$24 million, including crucial infrastructure, has made it possible to transition to mining the primary ore.

This means accessing the potentially substantially higher ounces per vertical meter enjoyed historically, which is a significant achievement. Furthermore, substantial upgrades to the infrastructure, including enhanced ventilation and high-voltage power systems, have been implemented to support the development work at the mine. This breakthrough opens incredible opportunities for Kaiser Reef Limited and marks an exciting new phase.
