Janus Henderson reports Q1 2023 results

May 04, 2023

In Q1 2023, Janus Henderson Group Limited (ASX: JHG) delivered robust investment results, as a significant proportion of its assets under management - between 67% to 84% - outperformed the relevant benchmarks over a span of one to ten years. The investment performance reported by Janus Henderson Group was impressive. The firm experienced a net inflow of AU$5.5 billion, largely due to mandate wins from institutional clients in several equity and fixed income strategies, and improvements in the intermediary and self-directed channels.

Its AUM rose by 8% to AU$310.5 billion from Q4 2022, thanks to market performance, US dollar depreciation and net inflows. Operating income was AU$100.4 million in Q1 2023, up from AU$67.8 million in Q4 2022 but down from AU$157.4 million in Q1 2022. Adjusted operating income for Q1 2023 was AU$105.6 million, down from AU$123.2 million in Q4 2022 and AU$178.8 million in Q1 2022.
