James Hardie reported record global net sales for FY2023

James Hardie Industries Plc (ASX: JHX), a global leader in fibre cement building products, has reported record global net sales of AU$3.8 billion for fiscal year 2023, an increase of 4% from the previous year. The North America fibre cement segment led the way, with net sales up 9% to a record AU$2.8 billion and earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) up 4% to a record AU$767.5 million. The Asia Pacific fibre cement segment recorded net sales of AU$787 million, a 1% increase, and the Europe building products segment net sales increased 3% to a record €431.8 million.

For the fourth quarter, global net sales decreased 5% to AU$917.8 million, with price/mix growth of 8% across all regions. Global adjusted net income for the quarter was AU$146.2 million, up 13% from the previous quarter. The North America fibre cement segment recorded net sales of AU$651.5 million, with price/mix growth of 8% and an EBIT margin of 29%, while the Asia Pacific fibre cement segment recorded net sales of AU$204.6 million, up 2%, and EBIT increased 12% to AU$59.1 million.
