Healius Limited (ASX: HLS), the subject of an off-market takeover bid by Australian Clinical Labs Limited (ACL), will witness a further extension of the offer period for all fully paid ordinary shares. This extension is in accordance with ACL's replacement bidder's statement from 14 April 2023. Initially extended to 17 November 2023, the offer period has been prolonged to 7:00 pm (Sydney time) on Thursday, 29 February 2024. The decision to extend the offer period was prompted by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission's (ACCC) suspension of the review timeline concerning the Proposed Merger. The ACCC is awaiting additional information before announcing the decision date for the merger.
ACL has officially delayed its Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) from 7 November 2023 to 16 February 2024, maintaining the hybrid format for shareholders and proxies to attend either in person or virtually via the EGM Online Platform.
