Canadian lithium company Green Technology Metals Limited (ASX: GT1) has reported positive lithium assay results from the Root Bay Prospect in Ontario, Canada. The Root Project, which includes the Morrison and McCombe lithium Deposits, has shown promising potential for lithium resources.The Root Bay Prospect, which is part of the project, has returned high-grade lithium results from recent drilling.
Assay results from the maiden drilling program indicate the presence of high-grade pegmatites, with significant lithium intercepts near the surface and at various depths. Thirteen lithium-bearing pegmatites have been drilled to depths exceeding 200 meters along a 1.3-kilometer trend. The company plans to conduct infill drilling and a large-scale field exploration program to identify further drill targets. GT1's CEO, Luke Cox, expressed excitement about the results, stating that the company is eager to determine the full resource potential of the Root Bay Prospect.
