Genex Power Limited: secures 258MW K3W long-term offtake with Stanwell

Genex Power Limited (ASX: GNX) has recently finalized a significant milestone by securing a 15-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Stanwell Corporation Limited for its 258MW Kidston Stage 3 Wind Project (K3W). Under this agreement, Stanwell, a prominent energy provider in Queensland and the National Electricity Market, will procure 50% of the K3W's electricity output at a fixed price throughout the 15-year term, thereby backing the project's financial structure.

This collaboration solidifies K3W's position as the next phase of the Kidston Clean Energy Hub. The PPA, managed by Genex's subsidiary, guarantees a fixed price for the wind energy and large-scale generation certificates, subject to annual escalation based on the consumer price index with an annual cap. This partnership signifies a pivotal step in advancing renewable energy initiatives and ensuring sustainable power solutions for the region.
