Gateway Mining Limited: Wide Gold Zones Discovered at Plymouth North by AC Drilling

Gateway Mining Limited (ASX: GML) has unveiled encouraging results from its initial air-core drilling campaign at the Montague Gold Project in Western Australia, home to a substantial 526,000-ounce gold reserve. Focusing on the Plymouth North target area, the program featured 90 drill holes spanning 4,724 meters, revealing a newly identified mineralized structure with significant potential as a gold target. This zone showcased extensive shearing, quartz veining, and sulfide development, all marked by robust gold mineralization.

Additionally, scout drilling at Plymouth North validated the presence of a significant north-south-oriented fault zone, corroborating earlier geophysical interpretations. Notably, the initial air-core drilling east of the Montague-Boulder Mineral Resource unearthed a sizable near-surface oxide mineralization, expanding upon promising prior findings. Gateway is committed to further exploration, conducting a second air-core program and preparing for deep diamond drilling to investigate "step-change" targets identified through a recent 2-dimensional seismic survey, slated to commence in early October.
