Gaia Mariculture Appointed as Manager of BPH Globals Singapore R&D Facility

BPH Global Ltd (ASX: BP8) has announced the appointment of Gaia Mariculture Pte Ltd as the manager of its research and development facility in the Singapore Marine Aquaculture Centre. Gaia Mariculture, a subsidiary of Preco AS, a Norwegian private investment company, specializes in marine aquaculture and operates primarily in Malaysia. The company's expertise spans seedling production, nursery and grow-out production phases for marine algae and invertebrate life. Gaia Mariculture aims to simplify complex methodologies in aquatic crop production and contribute to the development of the sea crop economy.

Under the consulting agreement, Gaia Mariculture will provide general consulting and advice on the operation of the R&D Facility, including maintaining the Company's relationship with the Singapore Food Agency. They will also offer guidance on research projects exploring the viability and commercial feasibility of cultivating, harvesting, and processing seaweeds and sea plants in Singapore and Australia. Gaia Mariculture will assist in the recruitment, engagement, and supervision of interns working in the R&D Facility and conduct research projects on seaweed cultivation and processing, reporting the results to the Company. The initial term of the Consulting Agreement is two years.
