Firetail Resources Joins BHP Xplor 2025 to Advance Picha Copper Project in Peru.

Firetail Resources Limited (ASX: FTL) has been selected as one of eight global exploration companies to participate in BHP’s 2025 Xplor accelerator program. This milestone brings up to US$500,000 in non-dilutive funding to expedite exploration at Firetail’s Picha Project in Southern Peru. The program, established to support critical-mineral exploration for the energy transition, will also provide Firetail with access to BHP’s technical expertise, mentorship, and global industry networks. Firetail aims to utilize these resources to refine geological concepts and deploy advanced geophysics and geochemical analysis to uncover the full potential of the project.

BHP Xplor’s Head, Marley Palin, praised Firetail’s innovative exploration strategy and the high prospectivity of the Picha Project. Firetail’s Managing Director, Glenn Poole, expressed excitement about the partnership, emphasizing the opportunity to leverage BHP’s support to fast-track the Picha Project’s development and strengthen Firetail’s position as a leader in early-stage exploration.
