Expansion of Yin Ironstone Complex in Western Australia

Dreadnought Resources Limited (ASX: DRE) announced that the Yin Ironstone Complex, located in Western Australia, has expanded with additional ironstones and carbonatites. The complex comprises of 43km of rare earth element (REE) mineralised ironstones, 3km of which contain a JORC Mineral Resource of 14.36Mt at 1.13% total rare earth oxide (TREO), and the remaining 40km containing a JORC Exploration Target of 50-100Mt at 0.9-1.3% TREO. First-pass drilling over 16km of the Exploration Target and over the C1-C6 carbonatites has revealed a thick and shallowly dipping mineralised ironstone at Y2 and over 3km of mineralisation along the Yin Resource's strike.

Mineralised carbonatites were found to extend beyond the original C1-C5 interpretation at the C5 extension, while thick mineralisation was found in follow-up drilling at the C3 carbonatite. A complex mafic-ultramafic intrusive suite at C6, which could have potential for magmatic Ni-Cu-PGE style mineralisation, will be further explored through first-pass drilling, which will end in June 2023, followed by infill drilling targeting Resource growth.
