Emyria Limited (ASX: EMD) has been awarded an AU$499,411 grant from the Future Health Research and Innovation (FHRI) Seed Fund in collaboration with the University of Western Australia (UWA). The grant aims to advance Emyria's MDMA analog drug discovery pipeline over the next 18 months to identify a potential drug candidate for development and commercialization. The funding will support screening assays and animal models conducted in partnership with global collaborators, including the National Institutes of Health (NIH), to progress towards clinical studies.
Emyria's unique operating model focuses on developing new treatments for mental health and neurological conditions to address unmet needs, combining commercially viable clinical services with innovative research for long-term value and patient impact. The funds will advance a groundbreaking program for improving Parkinson’s disease treatment and support the development of UWA-Emyria’s second program aimed at potential new treatments for PTSD through international collaborations.
