Eagers Automotive published its 1HFY23; Reported a Statutory Profit Before Tax of AU$442.2 million

On 23 February 2023, Eagers Automotive Limited (ASX: APE) published its 1HFY23 interim report for the period that ended on 31 December 2022.

• The company achieved a Statutory Profit Before Tax of AU$442.2 million and a record Underlying Operating Profit Before Tax of AU$405.2 million in FY22.
• The significant items included in the FY22 statutory result were AU$37.0 million net income before tax, mostly due to the sale of Bill Buckle Auto Group.
• The company’s board has approved a fully franked, ordinary final dividend of 49.0 cents per share, which is 15.3% higher than FY21's 42.5 cents per share.
• The total ordinary dividend based on FY22 earnings was a record 71.0 cents per share, up 13.6% on FY21's 62.5 cents per share (excluding the special dividend of 8.4 cents per share).
• Eagers Automotive Limited successfully acquired and integrated the ACT and Newspot (South Australia) multi-franchised dealership groups and related property acquisitions.
