DroneShield partners with Lockheed Martin Australias STELaRLab for collaboration

DroneShield Ltd (ASX: DRO) has announced a collaboration with Lockheed Martin Australia's STELaRLab. In this partnership, DroneShield's DroneCannon Mk2, a wide area non-kinetic effector, has been incorporated into Lockheed Martin Australia's Agile Shield program. Agile Shield, a program created under the Next Generation Technologies Fund and DST Group's Counter Improvised Threats Grand Challenge, is specifically designed to counter uncrewed aerial systems (C-UAS).

The initiative focuses on developing innovative solutions to mitigate the threat posed by unmanned aerial vehicles and enhance security measures against such airborne threats. Kevin McDonald, STELaRLab's Integrated Systems Lead, emphasized the incorporation of diverse Australian sensors and effectors in an open mission framework. This strategy guarantees a swift, adaptable, and efficient response to aerial threats. STELaRLab played a key role in developing the open mission systems architecture and acted as the main systems integrator, facilitating the successful integration of DroneShield's technology into Agile Shield's framework.
