Alma Metals Limited (ASX: ALM) has received the final assay results from its recent drilling campaign at the Briggs Copper Project in Central Queensland. The project, which hosts over one million tonnes of contained copper in inferred resources, completed 2,461.5m of drilling at the Central Porphyry and 494.0m at the Southern Porphyry Target.
Notably, the Southern Porphyry Target has emerged as a new discovery, located 300m southeast of the existing resource, with promising near-surface copper and molybdenum mineralization, including 270.5m @ 0.22% Cu in 24BRD0035. Infill drilling at Briggs Central has also identified higher-grade zones, supporting resource growth and potential starter-pit locations. The data will contribute to an updated Mineral Resource Estimate, metallurgical test work, and a Scoping Study, with preliminary results expected in mid-2025, positioning Alma Metals for significant advancements in the coming year.
