Downer secured a road maintenance contract in New Zealand

Downer EDI Limited (ASX: Dow) announced that it has been received a road maintenance contract by Hamilton City Council in New Zealand. The contract has a value of up to AU$540 million and a maximum duration of 10 years. Initially, the contract will span five years, with the possibility of extensions for three years and two years.

Downer will collaborate with Hamilton City Council under the Collaborative Corridor Agreement to provide a wide range of services, including asset management, surfacing, and renewals for various road infrastructure elements such as road corridors, footpaths, bridges, culverts, lighting, and on-road cycle lanes across Hamilton in the Waikato region of New Zealand's North Island. This agreement replaces the previous Hamilton Infrastructure Alliance and allows Downer to expand its service offerings to the council.
