Downer awarded South Australian Housing Authority maintenance contract

Downer EDI Limited (ASX: DOW) announced that its subsidiary, Spotless Facilities Services Pty Ltd, has entered into an agreement to deliver maintenance services across the South Australian Housing Authority social housing portfolio in the Adelaide metropolitan area. The total value of the agreement is AU$630.0 million over seven-and-a-half years, and the company is planning to start work from January 2023.

As per the contract, the company will provide reactive maintenance, vacant restoration, and minor works projects to 27,000 social and public housing dwellings. Works will comprise plumbing, electrical, roofing and painting, and refurbishment and upgrade works, delivering essential maintenance services for public housing residents. .
