CZR Resources Ltd (ASX: CZR) announced that it had signed a binding Memorandum of Understanding with WA Iron Ore producer Strike Resources Ltd and CSL Australia Pty Ltd with the target of forming an iron ore export facility in Western Australia’s West Pilbara region. CSL Australia Pty Ltd is a part of CSL Group Inc, the world’s most prominent owner and operator of self-unloading vessels.
The MoU has been signed to work with appropriate authorities to get approvals to add infrastructure to the Port of Ashburton to make a low-cost, multi-user bulk export facility for up to 5 million tonnes of iron ore per annum. The planned bulk export facility will contain all landside facilities comprising but not limited to road train unloader, conveyer, storage shed, non-process infrastructure, jetty, fixed point transshipment vessel loader, and ancillary infrastructure at the Port of Ashburton to facilitate the export of iron ore.
