Corella secures Government funding for HPA flowsheet Research and Development

Corella Resources Ltd (ASX: CR9) has secured government funding for research and development on a new High Purity Alumina (HPA) flowsheet using their high-quality Tampu kaolin deposit in Western Australia. This initiative, conducted in collaboration with the University of Queensland and an industry partner, aims to optimize operational factors such as capital and operational expenditures, energy consumption, and reagent recycling.

The project is part of the federal Trailblazer funding program, which supports university-industry partnerships to enhance Australia’s critical mineral processing capabilities. With a total project value exceeding AU$500k, Corella is contributing AU$75k in cash and AU$50k in in-kind support, focusing on developing an efficient and environmentally friendly HPA production process suitable for the growing demand for batteries and LEDs.
