Core Energy Expands Uranium Footprint and Prepares for Maiden Drilling at Cummins Project

Core Energy Minerals Limited (ASX: CR3) has expanded its uranium exploration footprint in South Australia with the successful granting of the Brooker Project (EL7056), adding 517 km² of prospective ground adjacent to its Cummins Uranium Project on the Eyre Peninsula. This new area contains interpreted extensions of paleo channel fluid pathways known to host uranium mineralisation, making it a low-cost, high-potential addition to the company’s portfolio.

Core Energy’s South Australian tenements now span 2,837 km² on the Eyre Peninsula and 1,750 km² in the Gawler Craton. Following a successful AU$3.7 million capital raise, the company remains on track to commence its maiden drilling program in Q2 2025. Regulatory approvals have been submitted for a Priority 1 air-core drilling campaign, targeting approximately 50 holes for 3,000 metres. The lightweight, cost-effective drilling will focus on shallow targets identified from historical geophysical and gamma anomaly data, with the permitting covering a broader program to allow for rapid follow-up exploration.
