Comet Ridge Limited increases its position in the Mahalo Gas Hub with a new block win

Comet Ridge Limited (ASX: COI) announced that the Queensland Government has chosen the company as the preferred tenderer for an additional gas block in the Mahalo Gas Hub area. Comet Ridge's significant position in the Mahalo Gas Hub has been expanded with the award of the new block. Comet Ridge will act as the Operator of the new block with 100% equity, and it is situated just north of Mahalo East and west of Mahalo Far East.

 The southern part of the new block is within a high-quality area identified by Comet Ridge's extensive geological mapping. This block award closely follows the AU$5 million grant from the Queensland Government for the drilling and testing a lateral pilot in Mahalo East.
