Cobre demonstrates Hydrogeological continuity at Ngami Copper Project

Sep 04, 2024

Cobre Limited (ASX: CBE) has completed an additional injection and pumping well at Botswana's Ngami Copper Project. This new well, combined with existing injection and monitoring wells, has established a reciprocal injection-pumping circuit. The results demonstrate hydraulic connectivity along the central mineralisation zone and sufficient permeability in more profound, less fractured portions of the mineralised contact to support natural injection for an In-Situ Copper Recovery (ISCR) process. This further supports the viability of ISCR in extracting copper-silver from the significant mineralisation strike, estimated at 103 to 166Mt at 0.38 to 0.46% Cu.

This phase of work marks a significant achievement as it completes the field testing for 2024. It will now provide the basis for ongoing fluid flow modelling, a key component of the ongoing engineering and financial scoping study, setting the stage for the next phase of the project.
