Cleanaway Waste Management Limited (ASX: CWY) has closed its liquid waste processing facility in St Marys, western Sydney, following a major fire. Emergency services contained the blaze, and the company will now investigate the cause. The extent of the damage remains unclear.
At the time of writing, Cleanaway is coordinating with regulatory authorities to manage clean-up efforts and identify alternative processing sites. Despite the disruption, the company confirmed that no employees were injured. Cleanaway’s stock fell 1.48% to $2.66 following the incident.
