City of Sydney Awards AU$3 million LED Streetlights Contract to Traffic Technologies Limited.

Traffic Technologies Limited (ASX: TTI) has secured an AU$3 million contract with Sydney City Council to supply "Smart City IoT" ready LED streetlights. Spanning an initial five-year period with an optional four-year extension, the agreement could be worth up to AU$5 million. The LED streetlights will replace existing units and cater to network growth, maintenance, and renewals in Sydney’s Local Government Area, which encompasses over 16,000 lights across roads, parks, and other public spaces.

Managing Director Con Liosatos highlighted the significance of the deal, emphasizing the vote of confidence in TTI’s cutting-edge technology. This long-term collaboration not only reinforces TTI’s reputation but also opens avenues to introduce additional products within Sydney. Established in 1842, the City of Sydney holds historical prominence as the oldest local government authority in New South Wales, overseeing the central business district and surrounding suburbs of Australia’s largest metropolitan area.
