Charger Metals Identifies Significant Gold Potential at Lake Johnston Project

Mar 26, 2025

Charger Metals NL (ASX: CHR) has identified significant gold mineralization potential at the Mt Gordon Prospect within its Lake Johnston Lithium Project in Western Australia’s Yilgarn Craton. A desktop review has highlighted several high-grade gold drill intercepts that have not been adequately followed up, indicating the possibility of a broader mineralized system.

Additionally, shallow RAB drilling identified anomalous (>0.1 g/t Au) gold zones beneath transported cover, with many drill holes terminating in saprock or fresh rock at shallow depths (~40m), leaving deeper mineralization untested. The company believes that the best gold intersections remain untested at depth, with the potential for a structurally hosted gold system. Charger Metals has now initiated fieldwork planning to further explore these targets, with future deep reverse circulation drilling set to test for a potentially more extensive gold system concealed beneath the transported cover. Regional structures near these high-grade intersections further support the potential for a significant gold deposit in the area.
