Champion Iron reports solid Q4 and FY2022 results

Champion Iron Limited (ASX: CIA) has released its operational and financial results for the fourth quarter and fiscal year ended 31 March 2022.

• Revenue during March 2022 quarter stood at AU$331.4 million, which was AU$396.7 million in the previous corresponding period (pcp). FY2022 revenue stood at AU$1,460.8 million which was AU$1,281.8 million on pcp.
• EBITDA during March 2022 quarter was AU$197.9 million, compared to AU$275.8 million on pcp. It was AU$925.8 million during the FY2022, compared to AU$819.5 million on pcp.
• Net income for three months was AU$115.7 million compared to AU$155.9 million on pcp. The net income for FY2022 was AU$522.6 million, which was AU$464.4 million for the same period in 2021.
• CIA paid inaugural dividend of AU$0.10 per ordinary share on 01 March 2022.
• During the March 2022 quarter, CIA produced 1,869,000 wmt of high-grade 66.2% Fe concentrate, which was 2,011,400 wmt of high-grade 66.5% Fe concentrate on pcp. In FY2022, CIA produced 7,907,300 wmt of high-grade 66.2% Fe concentrate, which was 8,001,200 wmt of high-grade 66.4% Fe for the same period in 2021.
