Castle Commences Drilling at Kpali Gold Project

Aug 07, 2024

Castle Minerals Limited (ASX: CDT) has initiated a 1,000m RC drilling programme at the Kpali Gold Project in Ghana's Upper West Region. This effort marks the first phase of a broader 3,500m multi-prospect programme aimed at proving the potential of a new West African gold exploration camp.

Previous drilling by Castle has confirmed shallow, high-grade gold mineralisation at Kpali, including intercepts such as 22m at 2.85 g/t Au and 7m at 6.03 g/t Au. These promising results, coupled with historically high gold prices and growing investor interest, have prompted the company to reactivate this project.

The Kpali Gold Project lies within Castle’s expansive 2,686km² Wa Gold Project, situated in a highly prospective Birimian terrane. This region hosts world-class deposits, enhancing the project's potential. Castle's Executive Chairman, Stephen Stone, expressed optimism about the drilling, emphasizing Kpali's potential to indicate a new mining camp in West Africa.
