On 22 May 2023, Cannindah Resources Limited (ASX: CAE) announces that there Hole 19 has intersected a significant 110m stretch of mineralized copper breccia, ranging from 156m to 267m. Visual estimates indicate chalcopyrite content of 2%-4%, with some meters exceeding 5%. Although awaiting lab assay results, preliminary data suggests that this zone is expected to yield an intersection of around 110m downhole, with copper values ranging from 0.8% to 1.2% Cu*.
This estimate is based on visual comparisons with similar copper mineralized intervals from prior drilling at Mt Cannindah. Sludge sampling has proven highly effective in determining copper grades at the site. Further downhole in CAE #19, a lower zone between 291m and 450m displays visual estimates of 0.5%-1.5% chalcopyrite, with intermittent higher-grade intervals. CAE anticipates 0.25% to 0.4% Cu copper grades over a 150m lower breccia interval (291m to 450m), based on assays from nearby drill holes and PXRF sludge analyses.
