Burley Minerals Limited (ASX: BUR) has inked a binding head of agreement for the acquisition of five lithium projects from the vendors of Aurora Lithium Pty Ltd in Manitoba, Canada. The Cormorant and White Rabbit Projects, with two granted mineral exploration licenses, are under the legal ownership of Aurora. Additionally, Aurora vendors have pinpointed three projects—Paull Lake, Partridge, and Oxford Lake, which Bouvier Lithium Inc, a 100% owned subsidiary of Burley, has applied for exploration claim applications.
Encompassing approximately 1,100km², these projects share the same greenstone belts as other globally significant lithium deposits. The tenure provides exposure to Superior Province rocks in Manitoba, an emerging and underexplored lithium region. Mapping of outcropping pegmatite dykes and logging of pegmatite intersections in historic drill cores, slated for assay, enhance the exploration potential of these lithium projects.
