Botala Enters Landmark Agreement with AAAS for Leupane Solar Project

Botala Energy Ltd (ASX: BTE) has signed a binding Heads of Agreement with AAAS Energy BV, aiming to develop 200-250MW of Solar PV capacity at Leupane Energy Hub and Industrial Park. Under the agreement, AAAS will fund initial development capital, leading the project to a Bankable Feasibility Study. Post-A$1 million investment, both parties will equally share additional costs.

Bankable feasibility study results are expected by the end of CY2024. The decision to proceed with the joint development depends on the study's review by Botala. The Leupane Energy Hub in Botswana, envisaged as a hub for renewable and gas-fired power generation, aligns with both entities' visions for sustainable energy. The collaboration enhances Botala's capacity, mitigates risks, and sets the stage for future growth opportunities in renewable energy development in the region.
