Black Canyon Limited (ASX: BCA) announced the commencement of drilling activities to explore various drill targets within the Balfour Mineral Field in Western Australia's Pilbara region. During the initial drilling phase, the focus will be on evaluating the mineral resource potential of the KR1 and Balfour prospects. Black Canyon has initiated an initial RC drilling program to examine multiple exposed manganese prospects across the Balfour Manganese Field.
This drill program is particularly interested in previously unexplored manganese-enriched shale targets, offering an opportunity for the company to discover and add to its Mineral Resources portfolio on its 100% owned tenure. Samples of high-purity manganese sulphate (HPMSM) variability have also been collected from selected drill targets to investigate their suitability for hydrometallurgical processes such as leaching, purification, and crystallization.
