Beach Energy Appoints New CEO: Brett Woods to Lead

Beach Energy Limited (ASX: BPT) has announced the appointment of Mr. Brett Woods as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD & CEO), effective from February 21, 2024, or an agreed-upon date. Mr. Woods brings over 25 years of upstream oil and gas experience, including various leadership roles at Santos, such as Chief Operating Officer and Vice President.

The company's chairman, Glenn Davis, commended Woods for his expertise and leadership qualities. In the interim, Bruce Clement, a current non-executive director with extensive industry experience, will serve as interim CEO. The outgoing CEO, Mr. Morné Engelbrecht, was acknowledged for his contributions and successful guidance through operational challenges. Engelbrecht expressed pride in Beach's transformation during his tenure and anticipates new opportunities ahead.
