Bass Oil Limited (ASX: BAS) has reported promising results from the Kiwi-1 Extended Production Test (EPT), which concluded recently. The test recorded maximum production rates of 4.1 million cubic feet per day of gas and 988 barrels of condensate per day, with a flowing wellhead pressure of 1585 psi. The flow period was shortened due to limited condensate storage, yet the condensate yield exceeded expectations by over tenfold. Key findings include low impurity levels, with only 5% CO2 and negligible H2S detected in the gas samples. The Condensate to Gas Ratio (CGR) was measured at 235 barrels per million standard cubic feet, significantly higher than pre-test estimates. Following the test, Kiwi-1 has entered a pressure build-up phase expected to last up to 20 days, while samples are being analyzed for a full compositional breakdown. These results reinforce the economic potential of the Kiwi project for Bass Oil.
