AusQuest Begins 7000m RC Drill Program at Balladonia Base Metals Project

AusQuest Limited (ASX: AQD) has kicked off a major ~7,000m RC drilling program at its Balladonia Base Metals Project in Western Australia's Fraser Range. Backed by a Strategic Alliance Agreement with a wholly-owned subsidiary of South32 Limited, the program will test multiple high-priority copper, lead, zinc, and silver targets. Around 35 drill holes will systematically explore the Tea Tree prospect and adjacent sequences, focusing on zones with magnetic, gravity, and EM anomalies, and targeting Broken Hill Type (BHT) mineralisation. Previous exploration identified prospective stratigraphy and alteration similar to other major base metal districts like Broken Hill and North West Queensland. Initial assay results are expected between late May and early June 2025. AusQuest’s Managing Director, Graeme Drew, highlighted the potential for significant discovery in this underexplored but geologically promising area, signaling an exciting new phase for the company’s exploration ambitions.
