Astute Metals Extends Lithium Discovery at Red Mountain with Record 86.9m Intercept

Astute Metals NL (ASX: ASE) announced a breakthrough at its 100%-owned Red Mountain Lithium Project in Nevada, USA. Drillhole RMDD002 recorded the thickest lithium intercept to date, with 86.9m @ 1,470ppm Li, including a high-grade zone of 32.1m @ 2,050ppm Li. This discovery extends mineralisation 375m north, demonstrating significant potential as the project continues to grow. The lithium mineralisation remains open both down-dip to the east and along strike to the north, suggesting substantial untapped resources.

With all results from the inaugural diamond drilling campaign now received, the company is advancing geological mapping to prepare for a 2025 drilling program. These findings, combined with exceptional lithium leachability rates of up to 98%, strengthen the foundation for a maiden Mineral Resource Estimate. Chairman Tony Leibowitz highlighted Red Mountain’s potential as a major US lithium discovery, marking a significant step toward meeting the growing demand for battery-grade lithium.
