Astron Corporation announces renewal of the mining licence for the Niafarang mineral sands project

Astron Corporation Limited (ASX: ATR) provided an update on the mining licence renewal process for the Niafarang Project. The Niafarang Project is a 397-square-kilometer exploration licence on the Casamance coast of Senegal, West Africa. Through its subsidiary Senegal Mineral Resources, Astron holds a permit issued under Order Number 09042/MIM/TMG (SMR).

According to Astron's report for the December Quarter of 2022, a Small Mining Licence renewal application was submitted to the Senegal Mines Department on 30 March 2022, within the statutory re-application time limit. The Mining Licence has been renewed for five years, beginning 29 May 2022. The Mining Licence covers an area of 184 hectares and is located inside the 397 square kilometer exploration licence zone, which is also up for renewal.
