Asara Expands Kada Gold Project With Acquisition of Two New Guinea Exploration Permits
Asara Resources Limited (ASX: AS1) has signed a binding agreement to acquire 100% of Arafura Ouest PTE Ltd, gaining ownership of the Damissa Koura and Kankan West gold exploration permits in Guinea. The deal expands Asara’s footprint in the Siguiri Basin to ~296 km², significantly enhancing the scale of the Kada Gold Project. Damissa Koura, located adjacent to Kada, hosts extensive historical drilling by Newmont, including notable intercepts such as 4m at 8.0 g/t Au, 38m at 1.9 g/t Au, and 28m at 2.0 g/t Au. Multiple mineralised zones extend over distances exceeding one kilometre and remain open along strike and depth.
Artisanal workings and geochemical anomalies further highlight the prospectivity of both permits. Asara has already completed reconnaissance mapping and plans systematic auger drilling once the transaction is settled, positioning the company for an expanded resource update.
