AQC secures 3-year US$60 million debt facility from Vitol

Australian Pacific Coal Limited (ASX: AQC) has announced that the Dartbrook Joint Venture (JV), in which it is involved with partner Tetra Resources, has secured a credit committee approved offer for a 3-year US$60 million (approximately AU$90 million) debt facility from Vitol Asia Pte Ltd. Vitol is a prominent global energy and commodities company.

The facility, subject to the completion of legal documentation, Know Your Client (KYC), due diligence, and the absence of any material adverse event, is intended to fully finance all remaining forecasted restart expenditures up to the production of the first coal. This includes funding for equipment acquisitions, completion of remediation works, and the acquisition of additional mining systems during the ramp-up phase to achieve full capacity. As part of the agreement, Dartbrook coal marketing rights will be assigned to Vitol through a Coal Supply and Marketing Agreement.
