Aldoro Reports Strong Metallurgical and Drilling Progress at Kameelburg
Aldoro Resources Limited (ASX: ARN) has achieved a significant milestone at its Kameelburg Project in Namibia, with initial metallurgical testing confirming that rare earth elements and strontium can be extracted directly through hydrochloric acid leaching. The testwork delivered rare earth recoveries of up to 72% and strontium recoveries exceeding 99%, indicating the potential for a simpler and potentially lower-cost processing route compared to many conventional rare earth projects. The results also highlight the project's ability to generate value from multiple commodities, strengthening its long-term development prospects.
In addition, recent drilling at hole DD003B has reinforced the geological understanding of the deposit. The results confirmed the presence of a niobium-rich zone along the margins of the carbonatite intrusion, while higher-grade rare earth and strontium mineralisation remains concentrated toward the core. These findings provide greater confidence in the project's resource model and support the forthcoming Mineral Resource Estimate update, further enhancing Kameelburg’s strategic critical.
