ABx Expands Rare Earths Presence in Northern Tasmania
ABx Group Limited (ASX: ABX) has strengthened its rare earths exploration portfolio after securing Exploration Licence EL14/2025 in northern Tasmania. The newly granted tenement spans 165 square kilometres and is located approximately 30 kilometres north of the company’s Deep Leads rare earths resource, increasing ABx’s prospective rare earth landholding in the region to more than 800 square kilometres.
The company also announced that its Deep Leads–Rubble Mound Extension project has been selected as one of five recipients under Round 12 of Tasmania’s Exploration Drilling Grant Initiative, which provides funding support for mineral exploration drilling activities.
ABx continues to advance its understanding of ionic adsorption clay-hosted rare earth mineralisation and has lodged an additional tenement application, EL1/2026, to further expand its exploration footprint. The company plans to commence its next field exploration program in August 2026 and is increasingly integrating artificial intelligence tools into exploration analysis, target generation, and project prioritisation. Management believes these initiatives could enhance exploration efficiency and support the discovery of additional rare earth opportunities across Tasmania.
