Shell has recently awarded Worley Limited (ASX:WOR) a contract for professional services to support the development of the Holland Hydrogen 1 facility in the Port of Rotterdam. This facility, upon completion, will stand as Europe’s largest commercial renewable hydrogen production site.

Renewable Hydrogen Production:

The Holland Hydrogen 1 facility, once operational, is projected to produce approximately 60,000 kg of renewable hydrogen per day. This renewable hydrogen will serve as a sustainable alternative to grey hydrogen, significantly contributing to the decarbonization efforts of fuels at Shell’s Energy and Chemicals Park in Rotterdam.

Sustainability Impact:

Worley's detailed design, procurement, and construction management support services will facilitate the integration of associated assets, including offshore wind, pipelines, and electrical grids.
