Megaport CEO Resigns; Chairman Steps in as Interim CEO while the Search for New CEO Begins

Megaport Limited (ASX:MP1), the global provider of Elastic Interconnection services, announced that its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr Vincent English, has resigned from his position, effective immediately. Mr English has also resigned from his role as Executive Director of the Company, also effective immediately. However, he will remain available to advise and assist Megaport with transition until 30 April 2023.

Megaport's Elastic Interconnection services are enabled by its global platform, which utilizes Software Defined Networking (SDN). Through the Megaport Network, users can connect their network to various other services, all under their direct control via mobile devices, computers, or the company's open API.

Megaport’s Chairman and Founder, Mr Bevan Slattery, has praised Mr English's contribution to the Company during his six-year tenure as CEO. Mr Slattery acknowledged Mr English's leadership, which was instrumental in the Company's successful transformation during a period of incredible growth. Megaport owes a lot to Mr English for his contribution in building a strong foundation that would drive the company towards exponential growth and operational triumphs in the coming years.

The search for a new CEO to fill the void left by Mr English has already commenced on a global scale by the board of directors.

Mr Slattery, meanwhile, has been appointed as the Interim Chief Executive Officer of the Company while the search is being undertaken. He is set to remain as the Chairman of the company. As per Megaport's half-year financial report for the period ending on December 31, 2021, Celia Pheasant became the Company Secretary on July 1, 2022. However, she resigned from the position on September 14 of the same year, and Emily McCaffery took over the role of Company Secretary on the same day. The following persons were Directors of Megaport Limited during the whole period and up to the date of this report: Bevan Slattery, Vincent English, Jay Adelson, Naomi Seddon, Michael Klayko, Melinda Snowden and Glo Gordon.

All in all, Mr English will remain available to assist Megaport with its transition until 30 April 2023. The company's Chairman and Founder, Mr Bevan Slattery, will serve as the Interim Chief Executive Officer while the board searches for a new CEO.
